Paul Hegley
John's talented nephew Paul has been playing the guitar since he was 10 years old. His first public performances were with his uncle John, supporting him on his tour dates in various theatres and festivals. Diamond Twig is a small press launched in 1992 by Ellen Phethean and Julia Darling to publish new writing by women in the North East of England. Its projects include The Ropes: Poems to Hold On To, an anthology co-edited by John, which is of particular relevance to young people.
